So if I did not kickstart this game, I would have gotten it earlier, cheaper (no postage & custom duties)

or you wouldn't get the game at all... nor anyone else because when more people would think like you the game wouldn't get funded and never produced. ;)

Agreed, a risk I will be more than prepared to take. Exile Sun was one which I really wanted to support & get made but the 'rewards' of either exclusives (ala D-Day Dice, best example of it, which I did receive good time before ship release & was a proud copy of real exclusives) or early release (or in some cases, 'exclusive' release like Legacy Gears of Time which has yet to have European distribution - though I helped him get it by showing it to a local retailer friend!).

Best current example is Salem which I have supported coz I am not sure if it will get made if not, & I feel it 'deserves' to get made. Designer has been very responsive & created a multi-pack overseas shipping I enquired about too.

Best for me (& this is all just my opinion after all) is to stop using Kickstarter as a source, enjoy my quite a few games to come yet in the many months ahead (including one delayed to likely collection at Essen 2013 since it was not available for Essen 2012!)
