You're confusing retail price with discounted online prices. 7 Wonders has an MSRP of $50. Lost Legends looks like it will have an MSRP of $60.
So, it isn't unreasonable that Queen would set the price at $60 on Kickstarter, since that is the actual price of the game. If you don't want to pay full retail price and want to wait until the discounters have it from the distribution chain, you'll just get it later than those that pledge to the Kickstarter and you'll get it without the promo materials and whatever other stretch goals they might offer.
$35 in my FLGS. Brand new, since day one.
You're probably aware that your FLGS is not a typical one then. Most brick and mortar shops sell it at the MSRP of $50.
