I'm sorry, but if you say you put your soul into it and spent 4 months working on it, why couldn't you have spent a few minutes looking up websites, sending emails and letters to contact addresses before you got started? You say that you think emails to a dedicated contact address will fall on deaf ears, but feel that having an unrelated third party contact the designer for you through facebook is sufficient communication? And that no response equated to approval to go ahead and release it and charge money?
You are absolutely right. Thing is, I'm a programmer; politics bores me. I should've spent more effort contacting right holders -- but being myself, I just let it slide. Now I realize that I could've found Antoine right here on the Geek! Do I feel stupid!

I get it man, you really like what you built, and you put a lot of time and effort into it. And it's not going to waste, you've still got your code and you can play it all you want on your own devices. But you seem strangely fixated on it being released and available for purchase, which again, if that was your goal, you really needed to do more legwork up front.
This is my first solo project (meaning that I'm my own boss), under a completely new platform (I previously worked under DOS & Windows, a little under Unix). I want others to rate my work, and yeah, if they like it -- pay a token amount. Fixated? Maybe. Strangely? I don't think so. Peace!
