Hello all,Core Worlds is currently sitting in the basket of my online cart, but I have hummed and hahed over the past few days about pulling the trigger on it. I have watched videos about it, read reviews, found a good price, but I need to be convinced.
I must admit that I only came to the game page because it was on offer, rather than because I had the game on my want list, and this is why I am hesitant. I own (and enjoy) Race for the Galaxy and Dominion, and my SO is keen on both. Even the sci-fi theme of Race didn't put her off, which was a bit of a surprise.
I know that Core Worlds is different from the above, but that it incorporates elements of both. What I am keen to know, especially from people who own all three games, is whether the niche it occupies is different enough to warrant its inclusion in my collection. I am attracted by the seemingly meatier and longer gameplay, but hesitant that it might not be individual enough.
For what it's worth, I am trying to weed out the weaker games in my collection and replace them with stronger ones, and I would like Core Worlds to be a keeper, if at all possible, but any opinions, positive or negative, would be really helpful.
Just for a little more info, we enjoy card games, don't really mind multiplayer solitaire, and aren't into out and out conflict, but are not averse to some screwage now and again.
Thanks!
