Hi there!
Do you think those two are balanced compared to other heroes? What's your thoughts??

Great question!

Over the last month I've been refining a variant for Braevalar (and wolf hawk) because they are a little on the weak side, but also because they are a bit boring. To buff them and build more theme I've read everything I can find on the internet; analysed their skills and basic cards; and then playtested the results.

You're instincts are correct here. Braevalar is weak. Krang is the stronger of the two, but he's not as flexible or straight forward as all the top tier heroes. You've got to be willing to aggressively use savage harvest.

Braevalar's basic cards are weak and lack punch. Druidic paths is a minor bonus to movement, but I feel weaker than Wolfhawks Tireless; and Druidic Paths is heal and block, but both are less important abilities in MK. Because each mage knight is a bit of a timebomb and they need to explode every now and then to kill a mage, dragon or city. Neither help the explosive rounds.

Braevalar is sorely lacking damage and his skills don't make up for it as much as other MK skills.

Shapeshift is compareable to Universal Power (but a more limited version)
Feral allies is a +1 damage
Forked lightning is a situational +1 for multiple targets
Lightning storm has no crystal generation so they can't be managed and stored for your explosive turns

All other skills are damage reduction, healing, influence, or movement. All of them on the weaker side, with regeneration really is the only outstanding skill amongst them.

Without damage Advanced Actions or crystal generation your Braevalar just won't be very strong. They probably only makes up about half of the AA deck, so there's a chance you could just get screwed.
