Well this is it, Jonathan, the UK Kickstarter needs to be Euro-centric rather than UK-centric, a bit like Indiegogo but with better reach, and then all should be good...either that, or US KS could take a leaf out of the new Martin Wallace game on KS (yeah, have backed that too), whereby there's free shipping everywhere because it'll be sent from various international hubs, rather than all from the US.

I appreciate the other argument that maybe a game wouldn't be produced if a number of people dropped out, the counter argument is well, in that case, make it worthwhile for investors to take part upfront. KS exclusives go a long way to helping that.

What? Another? :what: ;)

However, it's not Exile Sun's fault, but I wonder how many UK backers will just stick to KS UK in future...

I don't think that the UK KS will be viable for boardgames (unless something different is worked out). A board game publisher needs the support of US backers (that is where the majority market is), and I think that US backers will have the same issues as UK backers have now - that of shipping costs (look at the first outing of Ace of Spies). I do hope I'm wrong, as it might mean some better deals for us Brits. That said, perhaps KS UK could attract the German market?

Sorry, off topic a little...
