I recently played in a 5-player game where Larissa won by two points. I was second, but only because I completed three 25 point quests and did everything I could to hamper her. I begged and pleaded with the other players to try and block the money / building spaces because the player with Larissa was cruising to an easy victory. Of course, it didn't help that she was randomly dealt the Magistrates Orb quest, and completed it easily thanks to building the "two rogues and a wizard" building in a game where rogues were quite desirable. That would have been bad enough, but then two money-generating buildings came up so it was impossible to prevent Larissa from gaining money each round. By the time I was prepared to give her a mandatory quest she had completed a few and figured out that focusing on building would win her the game. That was pretty much a perfect setup that handed the win to Larissa on a silver platter.↧
