All I'm saying is they aren't incurring any type of damage, if they don't have their own app.

That's just not true. Regardless of any other arguments for or against what you've done, this is false. If you distribute your app, you are diminishing the market for an official app - there's less incentive for people who have your app to buy another one, even one sanctioned by the developers/owners of the rights in the game.
It just doesn't seem that black and white. For example, many here have claimed free versions of board games being released have acted as ways promote the games and thus, have gotten people to buy the official games in digital and/or boxed format. Off the top of my head... the BSW stuff such as Stone Age, Puerto Rico, Ra, Dominion, Power Grid, Citadels, Carcassonne... the Ticket To Rides on DoW's site. Independant projects like Keldon's Race For The Galaxy.

Granted, these games are available by permission. However, that won't be the argument here (this post). We've discussed the legality of it and despite how good it was, the 7W app should have been removed. I'm saying that while there's harm in releasing unofficial programs, there is also good in it too. Plus, you run into folks who only want stuff for free. They weren't going to pay for it anyways.

How many of those examples charged people?

The fact that this wasn't free changes everything. Even if it was $0.01, it would still be a completely different case.
